We Just Canât Get Enough of âSaulâ (Bob Odenkirk)!
Producer Peter Gould has revealed that the upcoming âBreaking Badâ spin-off âBetter Call Saulâ may possibly include Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Breaking Bad producer Peter Gould recently sat down with NY Daily News and discussed the upcoming spin-off Better Call Saul. During the interview, he reveals that it will move back and forth over several decades and that we will possibly see the return of several fan loved characters including Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).
âOne of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before âBreaking Bad,â during âBreaking Bad,â and after âBreaking Bad.â That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on âBreaking Badâ.â
He went on to explain how the show will differ from the original series. âWe want to make a show that stands on it own, is its own story and is a brand extension. We think we have a story that is worth making. ⦠We could never dream of the kind of success that âBreaking Badâ had and the love we got from the fans. But, at a certain point you have to do the best job you can and tell the best story that entertains you, get a good response and hope people like it.â He wraps up the interview by expressing his excitement about being picked up for a second season by AMC. âItâs tremendous for us, because we get to plot out two seasons. And the way we work is similar to âBreaking Badâ as it is very serialized and each episode builds on the last. And that gives us a much bigger canvas to play with.â Better Call Saul will premiere on AMC in early 2015.
âBetter Call Saulâ Will Take Place Before, During and After âBreaking Badâ.
