“Fast and Furious” Actor Paul Walker Dead In Car Wreck at The Age of 40

Actor Paul Walker dead in a car crash at the age of 40 on Nov. 30th after the Porsche he was riding in reportedly slammed into a tree or post and burst into flames. 

“The accident happened in Santa Clarita â€" north of Los Angeles â€" and according to multiple sources connected to Paul … the actor was in a Porsche when the driver somehow lost control and slammed into a post or a tree … and then the car burst into flames,”  according to a report from TMZ

Both the actor and the driver died in the wreck, but details as of yet, have been scarce.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station did report to US Weekly that two people were confirmed dead in a car wreck at approximately 3:30 P.M. on Saturday.

A statement has also been issued on the actors official Facebook page confirming that Paul Walker has indeed died and that this isn’t a hoax, as was presumed early on.

“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives,” read the statement. 

The identity of the driver has yet to be released.
