An American Live Wire Exclusive!
Mischief, mayhem and murder!
âDiabolicalâ is a new 3-episode special airing on Investigation Discovery on December 18, 2013 at 8 p.m. PST. This is reportedly âan intense seriesâ from the same people who produced the hit show âDog Whispererâ. The new program probes the minds of murderers in an attempt to make sense of what motivates the killers.
Why would he do something like that?
The show will feature forensic psychologists and psychiatrists and criminal profilers who will offer key insights. Experts will analyze the key moments and behavioral underpinnings in every crime. âDiabolicalâ demonstrates just âhow much people can conceal, until they blow.â
In fact, according to crew member (and sultry songstress) Verenice, the showâbrings light to stories of people who donât have a criminal history . . . and out of nowhere commit a heinous crime. The show depicts the crime and goes into the psychology of how these people came to make the choices leading up to these twisted murders.â
Verenice even described the first episode (âNeil Jacobson the Family Annihilatorâ) which concerns âa man who never so much as got a parking ticket. When he lost his job, he claimed that he âdidnât want his family to suffer through financial hardshipâ and killed them all: his wife and two small sons. He then took ten Xanax in an attempt to âoff himselfâ after the deed.â
How could she do something so terrible?
While Verenice thought she was oversimplifying she added: âIt gives you an idea of what theyâre going into (on the special).â A promotional preview of another episode titled âChristineâs Erratic Behaviorâ also promises to be just as intriguing. Indeed, âDiabolicalâ could very well prove to beat out similar programs if given the audience.
Todd Carney, Post-Production Supervisor, added: ââDiabolicalâ looks into the minds of killers no one ever suspected capable of their shocking crimes. The series analyzes their brutal, traumatic stories from different angles and then observes how the justice system handles them. Weâre often faced with motives that sound insane, atrocities that are completely irrational, and killers who seem all too reasonable, like people we know.â
âDiabolicalâ on Investigation Discover promised to explore all of that and more. Explore the dark side of seemingly ordinary people.  Walk in the shadows. Step into the night. Check out âDiabolicalâ on Investigation Discovery on December 18, 2013 at 8 p.m. PST and discover just what makes humdrum people do horrible things.
